Job Title: Inside Sales Representative
Department: Sales
Reports To: Regional Director of Sales

SUMMARY
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) primary focus is outbound telephone lead generation, follow-up, and revenue generation.  The ISR also serves as direct link between NewTek and our North American Elite Reseller Channel - helping them understand our sales promotions, policies and processes - and assists the Regional Sales Director in managing that channel.  Additionally, the ISR helps facilitate NewTek product demonstrations, corporate events, trade shows, and reseller events.  Reports to the Regional Director of Sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Telephone prospecting using sales leads generated from trade-shows, web hits, advertising, and events.
  • Telephone prospecting through cold calling vertical market specific lead lists.
  • Manage and maintain the regional sales forecast.
  • Manage and maintain reseller forecasts with the assistance of the Regional Sales Director.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue targets.
  • Assist Regional Sales Director by advance scheduling appointments.
  • Conduct communications with NewTek Elite resellers in your region.
  • Assist NewTek Master Distributor with Authorized Reseller communications in your region.
  • Maintain a current understanding of all NewTek products to assist prospects and resellers in their sales efforts.
  • Maintain a current understanding of competitive products to assist prospects and resellers in their sales efforts.
  • Drive seminar and event attendance by telephone prospecting.
  • Prepare all required reporting for Regional Sales Director and Director of WW Sales Operations.
  • Assist Regional Sales Director in preparation of monthly/quarterly/yearly sales plan – involving other departments as needed.
  • Assist Director of WW Sales Operations to make sure all logistics for reseller events, trade shows, and seminars are in order.
  • Work with resellers to strengthen their sales expertise, and increase their mindshare/focus on selling NewTek products.
  • Prospect and recruit new resellers for NewTek as required by the Regional Sales Director.
  • Build a sales pipeline for longer-term opportunities.
  • Communicate NewTek’s value proposition as a provider of video solutions. 
  • Find solutions to customer needs by using our currently shipping products.
  • Partner with the reseller channel and inside sales team to close short-term opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 2+ years of sales experience in the video production / post-production industry.
  • Understanding of video production and post-production products.
  • Strong communication and telephone skills.
  • Computer proficiency, with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database and web based applications (Salesforce.com, etc.)
  • Ability to self-motivate and operate independently.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative to sell products knowledgeably to customers.
  • Ability to extract information for use on revenue-related spreadsheets, individual must possess an understanding of the orders and accounts and how they relate to the incoming revenue.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative to sell products knowledgeably to customers.  Ability to extract information for use on revenue-related spreadsheets, individual must possess an understanding of the orders and accounts and how they relate to the incoming revenue.
